I'm skeptical about the RS badge on the Cayman..imho will be just "cosmetic" sport

Yes imho it's a good move..also I don't believe they really need to release it with old cosmetics 3 months before the FL model....

I think this is just the Cayman Sport S . THere is an advert for it in this months EVO.. It has slightly more power at 303bhp and comes with some extra's.... Just an end of line thing like the RS60

What did you expect? If Porsche is not releasing the FL until early 2009 as a 2010 model, then you should certainly expect limited edition models and more limited edition models.... and wait...... another limited edition model.

hi vince..don't know why but I speculate they are going to postpone the FL until the end of next year....hope it was just a LE nightmare.

I think the current cayman is a great car but i'm just the last person who says it deserves more power output..imho a move from 295 to 303bhp sounds like a joke

Prepare to be really really TICKED!!! This is the same LE that is already been shown here in the states. Essentially cosmetic only. No limited slip, based on the current design. This is Porsche clearing out the parts bin getting ready for the new model. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Yeah - that's been know for some time. Fortunately my deposit is on the 'really new' Cayman S - hopefully with DFI, PDK, and LSD due around March next year.

Wow - a MkII Cayman S with that spec will be a star performer

Don't forget short shifter, SPASM (if it's available on the Cayman S), PSE and PCCBs

The disguised facelift Cayman S I followed near Stuttgart ac ouple of weeks ago flew and really there wasnt much between mk1 c2S and the new Cayman S. Of course it may have had something special under the hood but the guys from my German dealer who've seen it at the NBR reckon its about 340ps and with PDK will match a manual C2S mk1 on everything but top speed.

This week they tested a facelift Cayman on NoS. Spectators reported that the car was definitely faster compared to any other Cayman testmules they've observed earlier...
