TUBI ??

I have done 600 miles in my tt cab with a new tubi exhaust, when driving yesterday the engine warning light came on and a message to take the car to the OPC, when they conected it up to there computer they told me it was a warning about the cats on the exhaust, they say that with changing the exhaust the management system can possibly reconise a fault as different to stock,has this happened to anyone else, they reset the management system but said it could happen again,

Heard of that problem many times before but first time with a Tubi! Perhaps something wasn't fitted correctly?!

Happened to me at first but it turned out there was a problem with one of the sensors in the cats.

Never had problems with it afterwards.

When my local OPC fitted the Tubi on my car they warned me this could happen, they just said bring it back and they would reset it.

Is your TT an 08? I've read that there is a difference between the ECU programming on the 07 and 08 and that the 08 cats are much more sensitive to exhaust changes. Other than some issues with early AWE cats you don't read much about CEL's on 07 TT's with exhaust and sport cat upgrades.

I have an 08 with a Cargraphic exhaust (200 cell cats which is the same as Tubi I believe) and I have had no problems at all

200 cell cat Tubi on my 07 TT Cab - 6000 miles later no CEL.

The dealer reset it and I am back working offshore now so the car is garaged up till xmas, will see if it happens again, hopeully with them resetting it I will not,thanks everyone,

I tend not to use the sport button as much now I have got the the Tubi fitted, but when I do, it does not seem to be as noticable as before, i.e. I hardly notice any change in responsiveness, is this normal?

Tubi just released headers. I got a call from there sales rep thats in Italy. There sending two sets into the states.
