Yeah, funny. And all done with just two different engines. The RS60's hp improvement did not translate in acceleration advantages so I expect the same to be in this case. However I fear Porsche will setup the DME on both models differently to give the Cayman the impression of greater power.

As you see small difference is in torque as well. So, YES, ECU is different.

I keep hoping for you, but don't count on it. The design is final, all molds are ready already. No way they are going to change that anymore.

You're absolutely right, and it may have to grow on me, as it seems that drooping rear taillights seem to be epidemic on the entire Porsche line-up.

Yea, what do you bet that the following year the Boxster S will get the same 320hp as the Cayman S? That seems to be Porsche's M.O., I can hear the wheels in their German brains spinning right now, ...we pulled this in MY07 and it worked great, we'll pull it again for MY11!

Or better yet, Porsche will charge an additional $10,000 for the optional LSD and 320 hp. Not original but I would call it the Cayman S Cabrio Performance kit.

My uneducated guess is a rehash of the M96 (they probably have some parts left over). I can't see them using the new 9A1 without DFI, since DFI helps with fuel economy and emissions and that is a big advantage to Porsche passing its requirments (CAFE and others).
