Thanks for the comments.
I have now taken delivery, no more photos as home after dark!
First impressions....only done 30 miles!
PDK seems very smooth - in D mode effortless - drove 90% of way home in manual and am getting used to the steering wheel controls - the problem thus far is getting used to some form of controller on the steering wheel as opposed to the specific pdk interaction. It seems to be 3 gearboxes in 1 - with the sport and sport plus mode making it very different - I spent 30 secs in sport plus - errr Wow!
Can't comment on the S-PASM yet, it does sit very low and looks cool.
I'm just completing my computing PhD then i will be able to work PCM!
More over the comings days - very pleased!!

I look forward to further impressions, namely:
New motor - how does it compare to M97?
PDK - real-word performance, stop-and-go traffic, start on an incline, etc.
Do not focus so much on the paddles - that is an issue of like/dislike - I'm more interested in performance. If you do not like the paddles, how does the tranny shift w/ the gear lever?
Suspension? How is it? Let's focus on Normal mode... how does it perform on broken pavement, day-to-day surfaces? handling and comfort?
I would be interested in feedback from others w/ std PASM suspension.

we are yet to get a wave file on that from anyone.
Ok...to answer - I think in sport plus mode it blips when going up and down, but the change is so quick (I mean like lightening) that it is hard to distinguish. Acceleration in this mode is nothing short of mind blowing!
In sport mode it seems to blip on the downshift but this appears to vary with the style of driving - this is a theme the system seems to know what you want to do next all the time.
No apparent blipping in non sport mode but very comfy when in this mode. But in fairness I have not pushed hard in this mode...
So far I have driven about 80% in manual and love the buttons - the down shift with them is excellent.

I am happy to hear your poristive comments especially in regards to the paddles.
can you downshift from the front as well, or is it only possible from the back of the steering wheel. Reason I am asking is that from the front you have the + and - signs just like in the old TIP.
