    Uhh... that's like saying you'd buy a front engined Ferrari only when it finally looks like a rear engined 911 or visa versa . For sports cars with decades of heritage , the basic shapes can NEVER be changed . You are attracted/rebuffed to these cars on THEIR iconic style/brand established terms and that's that.
    Choice is good- pick your personal favorite design and leave it at that , whether you are buying a car , watch ,boat , house .....

    Good point. I have nothing to do right now so permit me to go on (sorry). I really wish the Corvette would look less-GM. I'd buy one, no kidding. If I were a track nut I'd care more about performance, so looks (iconic significance) would be secondary. Since I'm on the public roadways I have aversions to:

    1. vette's less-than-coherent, non-holistic, messy-over-done, Home-Depot-faucet-fixture styling.

    2. vette's reputation as a gold-chain, hairy chested muscle car of the 70s and 80s.

    Conclusion: the only way they can get rid of that is to completely re-do and _simplify_ it's body styling. Make it look more elegant, engage the less-is-more styling philosophy of the Italians or British. Of course f they did that the car's sales would plummet.

    Bums me out because, Like bangle-ized BMWs I'm gonna be out of the Corvette market for a long time.

    Not trying to p*ss anybody off; just wishing it would "modernize" or de-GM-ify it's looks so I can get one and have some massive-V8-fun.

    On the same line of thinking then , I wish Porsche would make a line of cars that didn't all have to look EXACTLY like morphed 911s stretched and pulled in different grotesque directions ( the Cayenne and Panamera are poster child examples ) . The cute/compact 911 bean-shape that traced it's origin way back to the Hitler era VW Beetle just doesn't translate into these modern massive vehicles. I.e, they should " de-Porsche-fy " their other cars .
    Like your GM wish, it AIN'T gonna happen, ever.
