NOOO! i own a TT but the GT3 is a beast! my other friend has the normal GT3 too...
i have the videos.. TT won.. but aprox by the same difference in the video... i lil bit more actually.
BTW, with my TT i smoked a CL65 2008(from 60km/h~315km/h), F430, bugatti EB110, M5
my friend with the GT3 beat Gallardos...

Video is 100% accurate. You can see the TT pulling away at the end of the video. Now imagine a track - make believe its a very long track. The TT will simply walk away and thats with unmodded cars. As we all know the TT is mod friendly and with ANY substantive engine mods the disparity will be even more attenuated. Obviously the nuance appear in the GT3's favor on a turn based course, but that wasn't the video. In any event, theres no mistaking that the GT3 sounds better and is more fun to drive. I'll still take my TT any day over a GT3.

They are both awsome cars and I love them both but when it comes to pure power, TT wins my heart all the way. I like the feel of a normal aspirated engine better, it's more linear and more predictable. The Turbo once the lag is gone the car just goes like a mad man. The biggest turn off on the GT3 in the rear spoiler otherwise the Gt3 is perfect.

Excess wing-age is like stuffing a sock down your pants.
The sad thing is, with equally distinctive body panels, they could all probably perform just fine with the standard 997 retractable spoiler. Racing enthusiasts could get a bolt-on optional wing for maximum track use.
But Noooooooooooooooooo..., Porsche's gotta make the cars look frilly and nasty to sell more.

yes.. both in 2nd... the turbo has shorter ratios, it changes to 3rd when GT3 still in 2nd... they goes even.. when the GT3 changes to 3rd the turbo already in 3rd starts to say goodbye...
like i already said.. its exactly what really happens...

oh... hahaha that's ME in the video! well, video was shot from inside my car i mean. my GF was holding the camera.
i started in 2nd gear, as did the Turbo. i had it in sport mode too, not that it made any difference. both cars are 100% factory stock. and we were both flooring it, so no one was sandbagging.

Also me and Sergini make a video two years ago
The cam was on Sergini's GT3 and i'm the white Turbo
The cars were stock and both are with two persons on board
I push only in to straight becouse mine was new, only with a few kms..but sure the Gt3 is better on track use,no way

I really wish porsche would offer the GT3 with less of a rear wing (if it were possible).

AFAIK, there's no _reason_ to have a permanent fugly wing on these cars. The stock 997 retractable spoiler would be enough; body panels could get minor changes that are apparently required. A bolt-on wing unit (and aero-compensatory front spoiler?) for weekend track use could be offered as an option. Like the colored calipers thing ("Haha, my car's obviously better than yours!") it's all a BS looks thing. Too bad.
