I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it. The animal must've been young, even these small deer are fairly big when the are over 2 years old. This animal is most likely a roe deer. We have lots of them here, about a year ago I had a pair in my lane on the highway at night going about 160 km/h. Luckily they went one way and I swerved the other way.
The most dangerous animal in terms of damage at high speed here is a wild boar because they are the most frequent big animal you encounter here at night. The can get very big and heavy (over 100 kg is the norm) and are very tough.
A head-on collision with it at speed on the freeway is a very big accident.
Frankfurt numberplate - I guess it happened at high speed (Autobahn ?). BTW saw a wrecked CaymanS recently - a cow rolled over the car Cow survived the Cayman not (though the frame of the car was still intact).
We had something similar over here with a Lambo caugth a guy trying to cross the highway. The guys was unrecognizable mashed up behind the windscreen, narrowly missing the driver (no pictures though). Poor guys and I can still not understand way they are trying to risk life and limbs to cross the highway instead of using the flyovers
