    GTS Manual

    Are you GTS manual owners still happy? I've been a long time fan of manual trannys and have been trying to decide between a GTS Manual vs. a CTT. I like the idea of more power but think I am about to pull the trigger on a manual.

    GTS is a very nice car however nothing comes close to feeling the power of the CTT (tranny or no tranny). As soon as the turbos start spinning up it is difficult to whipe the smile of your face! No comparison I would say.

    i tried the turbo 1st as the GTS was still not available. as mark says - for pure speed the turbo is like nothing else.

    where i live you don't get to use the speed that much - i have had more fun in the GTS, the truck is a riot and you can really use the 4k rpm to 6k rpm range without going to jail!you are more connected to the machine with any manual.

    personal preference really - they are both fun machines just decide what you want.

    FYI, for all GTS sold in the US since February 08, 5% were manual and 95% Tip.

    Total sales: 1,631 units (1,550 Tip, 81 Manual)

    pretty comfortable saying that there are 81 totally happy GTS owners!

    i really thought the manual would sell more. the used market for the manuals will likely be strong as the enthusiasts probably more inclined to pick them up used?

    Do you know what % of GTS buyers keep PASM with steel spring as opposed to "upgrading" to air PASM with or without PDCC?

    Thank you for all of your input. We are fortunate to have great options. After much soul searching, I have become one of the 81. I should receive my vehicle (shipped from a nearby state) next week and have already ordered the cat bypass pipes.

    CPA4S, does Canada have the same rule about SUV heights requiring Air over Standard steel springs & PASM just like the US?

    Your gonna love the 2ndary cat bypass pipes. Put some fabspeed ones on last week. When you hit the sport button the sound is incredible! A very loud bark

    GTS Red/Black Full Leather. Plan to post a photo & specs when it arrives. I'm glad to hear that the pipes sound great in person; the video is pretty compelling.

    Ottawa is a small dealer but they picked up 2 of the 8 manuals. i think they had a 3rd but traded with another dealer.

    it is just an amazing combo if you arte stuck with a lot of city shifting!

    Abandoned the idea of shipping and bought a plane ticket for tomorrow morning. Planning to drive it home by midnight or so; will be a long day but worth it, I think.

    Yes, lucked into a vehicle with full leather. Can't wait to check it out in person.

    Hi Rombullterrier,

    Have a great drive, remember to take it slowely as my recommendation would be to keep her below 4000RPM for the first 3000km (see thread about 'how to run-in your cayenne)

    Best of luck and don't forget to show us some nice pictures of your return trip !!!

    Haven't seen it yet, but basically the dash and seat trim are leather. The seat inserts, headliner, shift boot, and a few other bits are Alcantara.

    Yes, I figured varying the rpms under 4k during the trip to break in the rings would give me something to do to pass the time. I hadn't even thought about taking the camera but that's a great idea. Will try to take some pics along the way.

    full leather just really adds the dash, doors centre console etc. the alcantera is also expanded a bit - back of door handle grips, centre arm rest and a few more bits - so it is not alcantera vs full leather - they just more of both on the full leather

    Picked up my vehicle and made it home very early Tuesday morning. First impressions are great acceleration, handling, interior looks and smells.
