Drove the novitec rosso 430 scuderia... wooow!!
hi all
i honestly never was a fan of tuned cars, not my cup of tea.. until i went with a friend of mine to munich yesterday where we booked a test drive on the new novitec rosso 430 scuderia with two compressors, 760NM and 717HP!!! the mod consists "only" of adding the compressors, intercoolers, cooling circuit for the intercoolers, remapping of the ecu, the engine, the brakes and the suspension remains untouched. The finishing is NEAT, pure german, with their well known perfectionism..
on the road, i honestly never felt something like it, its a cruise missile, a mini veyron, the power delivery is very linear, but it just never stops! it needs the same amount of time to finish the 5th gear than to finish the 1st gear; i felt laws of physics are not able to stop this speedo from climbing! i found myself driving at 240 at any stretch of 500m, and going to 340 on any stretch of 1000m, the car is stable, it doesn't feel stressed by the extra HP, the gear box feels very comfortable with the torque, and when driving slow its very smooth.
the car is addictive, i drove for an hour and could continue for days if i had the chance, the only downside is that with so much power you find yourself most of the time driving at 220 on a 60kph zone, its a crime pusher. the 0 to 100 is 3.4sec( no way to achieve better because of traction issue) and the 0 to 200 is 9.9 seconds.
would i do it on my scuderia if i had one? definitely yes, without the blink of an eye. the kit cost 40k euro, and worth every penny, it puts you 10 years ahead of the current power standards, 717HP on 1300 kg is a killer combo, specially when associated with a car as sharp and perfect as the scud..
needless to say when i got home and drove my F430, it felt as fast as renault 5 le car....![](/staticimages/graemlins/bigcry.gif)
Novitec also propose bodykits and wheels, not my cup of tea..
