    LP560 Autobild Nring time?

    It seems Autobild has tested the LP560 on the Nring. does anyone know the time?

    Seriously, sport auto sometimes cannot schedule publication of test reports until several weeks after they carry out the test, depending on what they have in the pipeline.

    KresoF1 has a hot-line to German car mags, so he may be able to cast some light on this?

    Comparison between LP560-4 and RUF is in lates issue of Auto Bild Sportscar edition...

    I will try to post scans till Monday...

    Results... Not as good as you might expect since Auto Bild use other drivers, not good old Horst...

    fritz, lambormina is actually quite right: AutoBild Sportscars published a comparison of LP560-4 and the Ruf Rt600 (600hp) in their latest issue:

    (560-4 vs. Ruf Rt600)

    0-200kph: 11.7s vs. 10.8s
    0-250kph: 18.7s vs. 17.4s
    0-300kph: 34.3s vs. 31.2s

    200-0kph: 159m vs. 144.4m

    Weight: 1516kg vs. 1657kg

    Claimed top-speed (not tested): 325kph vs 340kph

    NBR time: 7.53 vs. 7.57,5

    (Rt12 on Michelin PS2, Lambo on PZero Corsa)

    While the LP560-4 acceleration figures are great (0-300 as quick as LP640!) the relative NBR performance is really not too impressive. Also, they have to use a different test procedure than SportAuto. Otherwise those bad NBR times could not be explaned...

    Kreso, apparently Wolfgang Kaufmann did the NBR test for them. He is quite fast on that track. There must be differences in the test procedure which explain the differences to SportAuto.

    Since we have a fixation here with sport auto's Nürburgring times, I mentally substituted "sport auto" for "Autobild" in lambormina's original question!

    Well, compare that to AB test driver time and then do some math about possible Horst LP560-4 Ring time...

    That means... Below 7.40min... FOR SURE!

    I just finished reading that arcticle. YES, Kaufmann is pretty fast... BUT, Horst is from what I know-faster...

    I am not sure... SportAuto tested the Rt12 (and not the Rt600). I would assume that the Rt12 (tested by SportAuto) is the faster car (more power, probably better suspension/AWD setup). Thus, if the time difference between Rt600 and LP560-4 is about 5s and the Rt12 is some (few) seconds faster than the Rt600 the LP560-4 might be a bit above 7.40. The Rt12 did 7.35...

    The Rt12 is based on the 996TT AWD/drive-train, the engine has 650hp+ and is also based on the 996TT technology (i.e. no VTG etc.).

    The Rt600 is based on the 997TT (and its AWD system) and has only 600hp.

    you messed up the Nring times, its the other way around. LP560 did a 7: 57

    This is funny because the head of Lambo product development claimed with an air of arrogance and cinfidence that the LP560 was TWICE the car the Scud is. He made this statement after having the Scud for one month for comparison.

    you certainly can not compare two times done by two different publications. from the scans of this article, it seems the LP560 and Ruf's laps were timed from one single point, whereas the SportAuto or manufacturer's timed laps finish the lap 200 meteres before the start point. hence SportAuto times a 20.6 km lap while Autobild timed a 20.8 km one.

    AutoBild tests on the full 20,8 km of the Ring, that 7.52 min time for the old Gallardo was made on the 20,6 km part of the track. And of course another main reason: different drivers..
