    i need your help..GT2 or GT3MkII

    hi guys,as some of you already know,i own a 997GT3 at 3.9lt with "cup" gearbox but as already know the people is "avid" ...I have kept a opsion for GT2 up to the end of july, however I think also the case of new GT3MkII. .please,what is your opinion? ..i will appreciate your help

    lol, I would stay with the 997gt3 rs "modded" you have, sounds you have a gt3 more than perfect, I would say too much for the road ...

    Keep the car another year at least, and then have a look what the gt3rs mk2 looks, if you like go for it....

    Imo, I would never change a stock 997gt3 / gt3 rs vs a 997gt2, its just my opinion !!!...

    Either way, if you decide to change your car for the ones listed above, you'll never go backwards (but your bank account will do) for probably the same fun or even less (who knows), imo would be less FUN !!

    997 gt2 is the ultimate....for now at least.

    Wait for the FL 997 GT3, I suspect it will be a special car with the latest technology. It will come in a year's time or so. I don't know if you will keep your modified GT3 too but if you will change it, sell it sooner than later before the new model is announced and sit tight until the MkII model is available.
    The GT2 is in a different league and IMO the extra performance might not be fully usable on normal public roads.

    You are lucky my friend that you have this kind of dilemmas

    I would stay with GT3 all the way and keep getting a newer one whenever there is one. A naturally aspires engine with RPM red line in GT3 vs GT2 is one enough reason for me to stay GT3 all the way.

    it really depends on your preferences, NA or Turbo engines and driving feel?

    For me it would be the second one

    And also the first if i could afford it eheheh

    I would take the GT2 if you it's primarily a street car with the odd track day. If you are going to track the car often, I'd be leaning toward the GT3. I don't think you can go wrong either way though.

    Hi Dimis,

    do u have the sequential gear box of the cup car installed in your GT3? any pics of that?
    I would stay with the GT3 and look at the new model once it is out...

    hi my friend..no,i dont have the sequential gear box,i have from the "old" cup car..very short...298km/h(or so) max speed at 8650rpm....i am thinking to wait for the new GT3,but i dont have any idea for the specs of the car...if is just with the same gearbox and just 30bhp more i dont see any reason but if it has sequential...yummy
    so you are from stuttgart?i will be in altensteig in my tuner at the end of next month

    Hello my friend dimis. If I were you I would go for the GT2, just because for me it's the perfect Porsche. I would definitely reject GT3 mkII... You would feel like you bought the same car without the mods... You'll be disappointed, I can assure you that. I think you've got 2 choices here. Either you keep your awesome 3.9lt GT3 or you go for a better car like the 997 GT2. Forget about the GT3 mkII.

    hi dimis, i was wondering how u drive ur car on the street with the sequential racing gear box...still manual then.
    it sounds like u have done a lot to ur car, why are u considering to change it? are u using it on the track a lot or just on the street?
    are u sending ur car back to the tuner for a check-up or to tune it more? what are the specs on it anyway?

    I would stay with the GT3. I took place in the GT2 and saw on track. Honnestly and this is only my opinion.

    The noise, the feeling and the fun i'm having with my GT3 is way enough for what i was expecting.

    If i would have to change, i would go for the new GT3 coming out in 2009, if i'm right?

    It's also a very personnal choice but i'm sure you'll go for the correct one. Anyway what ever you get, enjoy it and have fun.

    For me if you enjoy the track frequently then GT3 if not GT2.
