Just thought of something: Why didn't he pick a _new_ Turbo to embellish? Because he didn't have enough money?
If this were an older car he had cutomized long time ago, isn't it time to get a new Turbo and cover it in _platinum_?

I doubt it's thin gold plates. That would be outrageously difficult to make. If it is some kind of special effect and gold-plated, then the gold plating for the whole car would weigh a small fraction of the amount they say.
