crayphile:RC:I may be wrong but is it possible this car gets the "Performante" active aerodynamics system?
I am pretty sure it will have the ALA system . They are going for the Ring record as well.
Makes sense.
I had an argument with my son yesterday because I told him that I would love to own an Aventador (I spent a weekend with a buddy who has one, posted a pic in the R8 thread I think, this car is just pure sex on wheels ), mostly because of the sound but my son would prefer a...hold your breath...Lexus LFA. We heard one once live and since that time, he is fascinated with the Lexus.
I still would go for the Aventador S (latest model, lots of improvements), the SV would be completely out of my price range, even used but I think I shouldn't complain. I love my R8 and the Aventador would only add envy and other issues to my daily life, so...
In my dream garage, there would definitely be an Aventador as well, no doubt about it: Huracan Performante, Aventador SV, 991.2 GT3 RS and 720S...this is my current dream garage (still playing the lottery... ).

They look great even so many years after launch - the true test of an outstanding design. I resisted for a long time because the gearbox is so appalling but caved because of the looks and sounds of the SV which make up for the driving experience which to use a technical term is pants. I'm a big fan of the Performante, but Lamborghini still have work to do on the steering.

kingjr9000:Rumors are beginning to move saying that the SVJ has beaten the 2RS.
It has but no surprise here, also considering the price tag of the new "SV". Not by much though I think...

Yes, a record indeed but I'd still choose the Huracan Performante. The reason is simple: The Aventador is an amazing car, one of the last n/a V12 and it sounds amazing but I drove one (SV) just over a week ago and while I was always enthusiastic about the car, this time, I don't know...it felt too big, kind of even heavy and just not what I remembered. I think I got too used to the R8/Huracan to be in love with the Aventador anymore. The gearbox doesn't even bother me that much but I drove the car through the city mainly and it was a bit stressful.

This thing looks so hot...even with camouflage...
According to rumors, it has already beaten the GT2 RS record... Numbers will be presented soon.
