Same as the BMW bluetooth system, my Nokia N95 isn't compatible but my work Nokia 6300 works a treat. I don't think I'll bother with fancy phones anymore as I don't use many of the features and it's too much of a brick.

Had one two month ago, kept it 3 weeks....sold it

Re: Approved Bluetooth Phone list for FL car

This is only the list of things that have been tested. In the US, there are a ton of other phones from manufacturers. IE Samsung, etc. I am sure that may of those work as well so long as the right bluetooth profiles are enabled in the phone (Verizon is notorious for disabling BT profiles in their phones)

Re: Approved Bluetooth Phone list for FL car

Why are people so heated up with this? especially on a sports car? Mobile funs should be seen as a convenience not a way of life communications umbilical cord. It's really pathetic.

Maybe you should ride a horse, not drive a car...

Au contraire. Many of us need to keep in communication when on the move. Here in the UK it is illegal to use a mobile phone when driving unless it is handsfree, so for some of us it IS an important issue.

I imagine that when you ride a horse you are glued to your mobile phone too.

I understand that mobile phone usage is important and that hands-free use in a car is essential. My point is that I see people glued to their phones and that is wrong.

Glued to the phone is wrong..... That' why it's important that bluetooth works properly. I need my phone to work...and I spent up to 3 ours a day in my car.
So please awoid generalistic unpleasant comments

I will agree that being glued to a phone is bad, but thats not the issue for us here (I think).

Some of us do use mobile phones, and we spend a lot of time in the car, and have the sense to know that if we need to talk (say I'm stuck in traffic I need to call ahead and say I'm late, or answer an incoming call from someone I'd been expecting to hear from all day).. then we are smart drivers and want to do it hands free.. and keep our hands on the wheel and eyes out front.

I will use my car as a daily driver, and need this to work. That said, I'll be up for renewal with my cell provider before the car comes in, so when it does arrive, I'll change phones and/or provider to make sure that interfacing works as needed.

So it should work right. A car of any type, in this technology age, that is street legal and doesn't have a good handsfree system is badly designed and really rubbish, in my view.
