    997TT conversion to GT2

    Just saw this on ebay, I have not done any engine upgrades except Tubi exhaust and BMC filter. Why not go all the way? GT2 turbos, intake expansion manifold (different than TT's) may be a good place to go with a full conversion, plenum is also different than TT's.

    15.7k$ just for the parts in the picture plus you must add: ecu/exhaust/clutch and you end up probably over 30k$ for 650hp (and no warranty).
    I doubt a lot of people will pick this over a good tuning house for much less.

    Add a good ECU tune and you will be faster in a straight line than a GT2 already, then spend some $$ on the chassis, and you will be in nirvana and yet have enough to spoil the wife and make life great for at least a month....

    you need a decent exhaust as well. not too long ago and with just a tune and exhaust and in 90 degree weather I ran the TX standing mile at 178mph during which the 0-100mph was 7.5s and 1/4 mile was 11.5 @ 126mph which I think is exactly GT2 straight line performance (0-200 in 11.4s).
    with bigger VTGs/exhaust/filter/plenum you can get well over 600hp.

    that is a very good time..so,with a ECU and exhaust the TT has almost the same time in straight line with a GT2..and if someone want to be his TT faster than a GT2 need more and not just a ECU...thanks for your time AAHTT

    You can add 997 Turbo manual from AMS 0-300km/h test...

    0-100km/h: 3.7s
    0-200km/h:12.3s
    0-300km/h:40.7s

    Actually this was documented by RC here who took a RUF 550 997tt vs a Gt2 to 300 kph and found the RUF car edged ahead. Not all stage 2 cars (ecu + exhaust) will give the same result but a well done example should provide similar acceleration performance as a Gt2.

    Thanks Alex..sorry,i didnt saw your performance table,very intresting and very good job....does any know any performance of stage II by TTP?...it seems very popular here in greece and many owners thinks is very-very fast

    According to the Swiss Cargraphic distributor, my 997 Turbo with Cargraphic Stage II (ECU and exhaust) is faster on a straight line than an ECU-tuned 997 GT2. This was based on the performance tests they did after the upgrade.

    I would not believe everything I hear if I were you. I know a couple of the TTP cars you are referring too and they have had their share of problems.. There may be a reason probably why not much is known about TTP in europe/us . (except that their ex programmer works now at another european tuner).
