I am still undecided about PDK.

    Re: My 997.2 build

Looks good, I am going to go for PDK. No navi?

Why the wheel spacers by the way?

    Re: My 997.2 build

I don't really have the need for Navi very much.

Although, I realize that 5mms is not very much, I do believe that it will add to the aggressive presence of the car. Lowered by 10mm with SPASM and the wheels 5mm closer to the fender's edge should give the car a nice look.

    I am 50/50 on PDK.

What color will yours be? Oh, and congrats, as well.

    Actually, it's lowered by 20mm.

I wish it was. The 997S is only lowered by another 10mm with SPASM. PASM is standard on the S, which is 10mm lower than a non-PASM base Carrera. So, only the base Carrera is lowered by 20mm with the addition of SPASM.

    Re: My 997.2 build

    Yes but still,

doesn't that hurt the comfort of driving your 911?

unless you only track it, i don't see the advantage of maybe just a little lower look on your rims ?

I would think that with PASM normal mode should be okay. Sport mode should be GT3 like. I prefer a race car like ride in my sports cars. This is not my dd.

    Re: My 997.2 build

SPASM, PDK and SCPlus essential options for the 2nd generation.

I agree with the first and third (Sport Chrono), but I think many of us will still prefer to shift ourselves over the buttons.

I'm one of the few on this board but PSE is a no go. I prefer stealth at all costs. dave

    Re: My 997.2 build

Not sure you can put these two options together. Not all wheels can be painted..
    419 Carrera S II Wheel
    XD9 Wheels Painted Exterior Color

    Re: My 997.2 build

If I recall you are in and out of cars frquently. I would not load up on options. They are money losers when you sell or trade.

I believe PDK is worth the money and will not negatively impact the resale value.

Painted Carrera S II wheels will start being available as from 10/08

Also consider rear footwell lighting (option CEE) and Door pocket LED lighting (CEF. They add up to some $750 and they make the interior look more expensive and classy (at night).

    Re: My 997.2 build

Damn those options that don't come on line till 10/08. Has anyone put CEE and CEF in on their order? My dealer indicated he could not get those options for the Targa build... admittedly a 10/08 build.

    Nick,

I agree with you on the residual option thing, but the problem for me is that I am not fond of the standard non-leather interior. Hence, my problem now is if I should all the way and just get the turbo as some of these options are standard (met. paint, full leather, power seats, Nav. etc...) or reduced in price. They are also residualized into the price of the turbo.

PDK on the other hand may be faster but I don't know if it will be more fun for me.
