997.2 S Supertest by Sport Auto...

...will be published in next issue of Sport Auto.

    PDK
    PCCB
    SPASM
    SC
    Michelin Cups

    Hint...

Ring time will be posted here about one week before magazine hits newsstand in Germany!

I can't help thinking that whoever came up with the acronym "SPASM" hadn't bothered to check whether it might have some undesired meaning in one of the world's major languages?

Re: 997.2 S Supertest by Sport Auto...

I hope that is a typo, should be PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), shouldn't it?

Re: 997.2 S Supertest by Sport Auto...

    I'm going to be optimistic !!! , 7.50 lap !

If the S does 0-100kph in 4.3 with PDK+LC, then my prediction isnt that crazy...

Actually, that would describe my immediate reaction when I first read it!

No. It is Sport PASM or SPASM...

    Or PASM Sport(a ka PASMS)...

Re: 997.2 S Supertest by Sport Auto...

    What am I missing here?

I thought 7:50 had already been stated by Porsche...

    SPASM - blame me

I came up with it about 2 years ago as a way to describe these electronic suspension systems that don't always respond in the way you think they should.

SPASM is also a distant relative of SPAM - something that should be substantial but is really reconstituted leftovers that no one else wanted...

Factory time, driven by Walther Rohrl. Sport Auto is independent tester (useful for comparisons to other marques) driven by Horst v. Saurma.

Is that the guy who's past it?

I think 10 seconds off the current C2S time. So that's in the 7:50 range, if HvS was up to it of course.

Then, of course, there is SPERM - Special Porsche Electronic Rod Manipulator....

    Re: SPASM - blame me

Oh, and a lot of people think that SPECS is a speed camera when all female owners know it really stands for... Special Porsche Electronic Clitoris Stimulator..

    Re: SPASM - blame me

I worry about you john, I really do.

John you have a PM, got a proposal for ya. No, I'm married so you need not worry.
