    Anyone knows stock Turbo ride heights please?

    If not, how does one measure as far as the reference points for front and rear? I already did my search and could not find a precise answer.

    This measures 5 3/8" on mine

    Re: Anyone knows stock Turbo ride heights please?

    Thanks everyone for your replies. Jeff, thanks for the table--lots of good information! I think ground clearance comes closest but is not it. Someone on 6speedonline pointed out to me that ride height is a fixed measurement from the ground to some predetermined point/bolt on the chassis. Similar idea to this particular post:

    Some interesting info; notice the huge 40mm difference in front between 996 Turbo and GT2:

    996 Data

    * USA Turbo
    Front 148mm to 168mm
    Rear 148mm to 168mm
    * ROW Turbo
    Front 128mm to 148mm
    Rear 138mm to 158mm
    * GT2
    Front 108mm to 118mm
    Rear 133mm to 143mm

    When I saw a 997 GT2 a few weeks ago, I did measure the mid-fender heights of that car against my 997 Turbo out of curiosity. To my surprise, this method did not show that big of a difference, an indication that fender heights do not reflect true ride heights.

    Turbo:
    LF 67.6 RF 67.1
    LR 69.0 RR 68.7

    GT2 (was NOT on a level spot, best that I could do)
    LF 66.5 RF 67.2
    LR 68 RR 69.5

    I now am just curious if the difference between 997 GT2 and Turbo is as big as 996 GT2 and Turbo.

    Re: Anyone knows stock Turbo ride heights please?

    5.375 + 5.5 + 6.5 = 17.375 /3 = 5.791666666667 inches or

    147.1083333333333333mm

    BTW, Since range is 148mm to 168mm, at 136mm and 139mm it looks like you guys are too low.

    I'm stock at 165 mm.

    I gotta go re-measure mine. This thread is getting annoying (in a funny way).

    Maybe this is a PASM issue, depends on how we turn off and park our cars. For example, lower ones are in the sport mode when turned off?

    I don't think pasm makes a difference, that said, mine was in sport mode but with pasm off, I never turn pasm on the street. I measured on level ground to the lower border of the lip along the lateral side of the fog lamp like your picture. Maybe the PS2s have a higher sidewall?

    Re: Anyone knows stock Turbo ride heights please?

    Mine is 5 3/8" L and 5 1/2" R. Stock ride ht.

    Re: Anyone knows stock Turbo ride heights please?

    Alright, alright. These numbers that everyone is measuring is not what I asked for at all, but if you can't beat them... mines are 5 1/2 and 5 1/4.

    MMD, PASM should not affect ride height. Dampening force is a dynamic parameter and comes into play only when the springs are bouncing. Your numbers seem a little high?

    Holy Cow. You are right! Just got dirty and re-measured. Mine's 5 1/4 inches (133mm). Car's older? Got spare and jack in trunk? Confused with 997S?

    Anyway, sorry for any concern or confusion.

    Re: Anyone knows stock Turbo ride heights please?

    FYI, someone posted the "official" method:
