    Few questions...

I am very excited about the car and would like to buy it as soon as possible... still have few doubts and hope you guys can talk me out of it.
How practical it is in normal driving? Can I safely drive through speed bumps (slowly offcourse) without scratching front bumper or breaking it? How about driving in parking houses?
I am looking for half year old car which have 6000km, anything I should be worried about or look for?

The Turbo is as easy to drive at town speeds as a VW Golf! Incredibly civilized at low speeds. It is a totally different car though when the turbos kick in!!

I drive pretty fast over speed bumps. I actually have to go slower in my Audi S3! I do take ramps slowly though, although I haven't scraped anything yet.

    Good luck with your search

    Re: Few questions...

Had the same thoughts... Dealer says the largest slope/bump angle must be no more than 7 degrees, while it is only 5,5 degrees with a GT2.

    Re: Few questions...

    Ultimate road car: Period.

Literally docile in parking lots and city streets. THEN becomes a _monster_ when the highway opens up.

Lemme restate: It's like driving a VW beetle in town when you have to be safe and courteous. When the road opens up, or there's a brain-dead driver in front of you who you want to pass: the car becomes a "point and shoot" _missile_. Wanna get to 100mph+ in a few seconds? Step on gas and you'll see 130mph with zero sensation of waiting.

One qualification? It's kinda low (visibility issues) and you have to watch for potholes; so not _exactly_ a Beetle as described.

Conclusion: stunning road car for all conditions for someone who loves to drive.

Final Thought: it _seemed_ to make sense in my 997s but why do they put cup holders and a "radio" in the TT car? I dunno!

You can't hear the exhaust on a 997TT anyways, so why not a have a radio?

    Re: Few questions...

Got my post confused with MMD's. Sorry

    Re: Few questions...

HeeHee..., the cup holders are fine. Just that we 'Mericans think they're essential.

My original thought was that the TT is suuuuuch a fun car that it's NEVER boring; no need for enroute refreshments. Can't say the same about my 997s in comparision and I swear to God I'm not just slinging mud at the 997S.

I hear Germans see cup holders as total BS and even dangerous; I agree when I see d-bags drinking _coffee_ while driving! I guess having a slug of bottled water's fine though... .

Next time my wife tries to use cupholder I'm gonna bark out, "NO! They're prohibited in Germany!"

    Re: Few questions...

    Thanks for the info guys!
I have looked all youtube and videogoogle vids about standard exhaust, but there havent been many and all of those videos have been poorly filmed. So, can anyone please post video about standard exhaust with tiptronic? I would like to hear idle sound especially.
Will I f**k up Porsches warranty if replace standard exhaust, if I just want to improve sound?

    Re: Few questions...

Tried to look on Porsches brochures, but didnt find the answer. Does Turbo have to body folding mirrors?

    No Turbo owners?

    Re: Few questions...

of course it does - silly question!!

    Re: Few questions...

Really? With my small garage this is really issue. Can you fold them with one button or do you have to adjust them every time?

    Re: Few questions...

    manual as per most cars

I have to squeeze into my garage too

    Re: Few questions...

Thanks How long it approximately takes from folded mirrors to adjust 'ready to go' position? And can you fold them as much as in car that have folding mirrors (yes Turbo has too, but you know what I mean )

    Re: Few questions...

you just pull them in and that releases the catch and they come straight back out. 1 second.

they are just the same as 99% of other cars.

    Re: Few questions...

There is no button to press that will fold in the mirrors; you have to fold them in by hand. Also missing is automatic headlights that turn themselves on in low light.

The car makes a great daily driver. As others have said, it can be well mannered around town but then get some open road ahead and it's a monster. I love to wait for traffic ahead on a freeway onramp to clear out and then mash it. Yeow!!!
