Need comments on my interior deco choice

I have ordered the C2S in Basalt black with balck interior , balck dials and will have ( normaly ) back rims.

I have ordered option
CVP
CDA
I do hesitate between the full balck interior or to drop option CVP and have the bit in aluminium like they are standard.
Please let me know which you prefer

1. With option CDA only

Not big on either. The aluminium vents feel like a distraction. Consider keeping the dash standard. But you could add the rear center console in aluminium, or do the gear shift and parking brake in aluminum/leather. Or do the PCM faceplate in aluminium.

Aluminum vents are nice because they help form the line which connects across the dash and doors. Will look even better (more effective) in FL car since new PCM trim is black.

Maybe what they were trying to do since the option apparently can include alum. cup holder cover. (?)

The 997 has such a beautiful interior.... To cloak the whole thing in no-accents-black seems rather a shame... Like MMD brings up, your design flow just becomes a blob, a big shadow. Like walking into a beautifully designed room, and spray-bombing the whole damn thing black... Are you Goth??

Take the aluminium package which comes with leather vents as well the leahter panel on the top-vent (close to the window). This part leathered makes IMO a big difference.

It was the E36 package when I ordered it on my Terracotta, and yes, it's the bee's knees....

I would leave the touches of silver/grey... if all is in black, you won't "see" the black anymore!

Goths ?

Not yet! But maybe I am slipping down that road. I will have to post a pic of my futur hair and dressing style when driving my funeral Porsche wagon !!

If you all remember the inside of the older 911, they where all back and they look pretty nice , simple and sporty to me. I am trying to hve this look.

As I am 'upgrating' from my 997.1 to a 997.2 I do not want the same inside. I would feel that I am sitting in the same car after having spent so much money

I would like to feel that I am in another car.
I do question myself a bit if it will not be too much black outside + inside

Here's what I mean:

On this pic the silver part above the glove box is in leather. It make things already a bit different.
I agree on the harmoney of the aluminium vents, but I want to have something different to my current car. Remember the older insides...... all balck

I have thaught about it ( the price of my FL is not too far from a Gt3

)
But my P is my daily driver ( Lausanne , Morges, Aubonne at peack ours each day a few times) Immagine that in a Gt3

That's also why I am taking PDK.

I also thaught about a 2nd hand Turbo ( there is one at the garage with 26'000 km that could go at a smaller price then my FL . )
I could also have a new TT with a BIG discount....
So

I have been battling between all these options, but I have always wanted to own a non AWD Porsche...

Please tell me you're going for PASM Sport (and that you'll reconsider taking the manual again?)

Have you considered taking an entirely different interior spec? Maybe terracotta? It 'd look good on an all black car...

I wouldn't throw the GT3-option completely out of the window, if you spec one with adaptive sportseats, why wouldn't it make a reasonable daily driver? Apart from the lack of PSM and your love for kissing rocks with GT3's (j/k

)

I' ve got also 3 small boys who love to ride in the back of my car !!
I spent 2 ours each day in trafic jam/city driving....and most of the time I try to work at the same time

PDK will make so much sence and might give me the best of both world.
And, of course, I'm only having it because it does have a 'track mode' with Sports chrono plus.

I have been driving stick now for 23 years ( minus the two years where I had lost my licence) ... trying new technology will be interesting, and I believe It willl be fun.
I am actually very happy to try it..... if I do not like it, I am not worried at all about being able to sell the car. I am convinced that the demand for PDK will be so much higher, specially with 2nd hand cars.
I am considering PCCB

And will probably drop the black rims....

I've just lost it for 2 weeks and I already tought that was enough...

So what about the -20mm LSD option? I bet you won't regret...

What will you be doing with your C4S? I have a Swiss friend who's thinking of switching from his RS6 to a Porsche, yours would be great to start with

IMHO I say, Go for it. If you don't like it you can always add the silver or carbon later. And you're correct when you say that all the older porsches had the all black dash and looked fine. I have the standard interior in my C4S and actually like the silver bits but that's one man's opinion.

IMHO I say Go For It. You can always add the silver of carbon bits later on. I have the standard black interior in my C4S and like the silver accents but that's one mans opinion.

Go for it Gnil! As I keep saying, when you get frisky, _extremely_ fast, _perfect_ rev-matched up and _down_shifts ANYWHERE, even in a turn, give you a shot of adrenaline that's for real. Kicking power transfer to road too (not like an automatic).
