But it doesn't say if this is with one of the new DI engines.

Those are the numbers for the new model, therefore equipped with DI engine. Obviously the S-model would result in something like 4.3 sec. Not that it'd matter to me...

Ferdie, I think 4.3sec, is too optimistic...but hey, it could be completely possible with PDK+LC

If its like this, it'll be probably one of the only atmospheric engines in that bhp range, that can accelerate in 4.3sec 0-100kph

As for that carrera 4S FL pic from the rear, its very clear, they are going to put the 9964S red rear stripe...at least that's what it looks like, from that pic !!!.....how would that red stripe match with those new rear lights??????????

I'm guessing that the whole rear light s would be red

Even in a dual-clutch transmission? If not the regular car how about the more race oriented variants as a costly option?

The new CS with DFI and 385HP, particularly the PDK model) should do a decent 0-60MPH. It's close in power to the Corvette C6 which does 0-60 in 4.1s (LS3 '08 model).

, lets see if god hears you !!! ...imo something like 4.3 for carrera S PDK+LC would be out of this world, how the carrera S FL is going to be quicker than a 997gt3 MK1 ???.....I think 4.5sec is more than perfect....but well, I hope I'm wrong, and you're right !!!

Man, I'm studying for my finals, and at the same time jumping to rennteam, for any ultimate news...... , cammon somebody at rennteam should already have the official pics !!!!, just post them !!!!!!!!

The UK one doesn't seem to work but the USA one does.

    New Turbo Specs

Does anyone know when they will be announcing changes to the 09TT?

Porsche has NEVER overstated their performance expectations. They want to make sure EVERY car that rolls off the factory floor is capable of producing the published numbers, even by the most inept drivers.

I do like them, too! They really look much better then the old "Carrera S" ones.
But I think would still prefer the 19"Carrera Classic.

I'm another one who agrees with RC. I like the new features and will seriously think about upgrading my Targa to a 997. In some respects it appears this face lift is a bigger improvement than 996 - 997. okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but you get my drift. I can't wait to look at the new 997.

I have to agree as well. 30hp, PDK, 20mm suspension with LSD. Not to mention, XM, Bluetoth and I-POD. I am so excited that I have the first build slot with my dealer, as long as the price hike is within reason.

    Devo,

If you are ordering a first slot 2C or 2CS FL, I don't think you have too much time left. I got my pro forma invoice with pricing six weeks ago, for a first slot delivery (Sept/Oct). US dealers got pricing and on line ordering capability on June 13th I believe.

I think that I am going to wait for the facelifted turbo and am hoping that it will be here spring of 2009. If I did stay with the C2S, it would be with a post Nov. build so that I can get PSE. I am having a tough time making my choice.
