The ZR-1 should be even better. Supposedly uses European leather and higher quality materials.

"European leather" uh!? Do you think cow skin in Europe is better than elsewhere? or that leather processing is also better than elsewhere? What a load of c$ap.
It continues to amaze me that (mostly) adult men lust for these doodads in their sports cars... it appears that these toys are for show and not much else.

For the new two tone interior GM will use the same company/supplier as what Mercedes uses in their Maybach products.

I've seen it Ron, as it is the same as the 4LT trim package also available on my car, and I did not order it, as I do not think it matters. The new leatherette vinyl in both the Vette (and the 911 BTW) is very good, functional and easy to maintain. I see these cars as fun driving machines, not luxury gadgets. I've seen 911 leather after a few years with an unattractive run-down look, whereas the synthetic material keeps better. But... as they say, to each his own.

Yeah, it's the plastic pieces that look out of place. However, it is a big step forward IMO.
