Cannot decide in what color to order my Cayenne T

Dear all,

Still haven't made my mind up

and athough I have put down a deposit on a Cayenne Turbo for April delivery, I have till the end of this year to decide which color to go for (I will have havanne/Sand two tone leather though). At the moment I am thinking about dark olive green. The green appears black at night and has a lovely green gold metalic shine during the day.

I have started a poll to gauge your thoughts.

Whenever I've travelled to the Gulf countries, I've noticed that nearly half the cars on the road are white. Would you mind being like so many others? That's the question...

You are absolutely right, white is obviously the best color in our hot climate. Black is also a very popular color here not sure where the logic is coming from. The dark olive is almost black at night however has a very nice golden green shine during the day

Indeed, dark wood interior + half steering wheel. I have chosen to go for the confort seats in Havanna/Sand Beige two tone leather, stearing column and roof grap handles are in leather as well (blending into the background)

Indeed PDCC as well as this really improves her ride.

I am very excited, order has gone through late last year and I think I have a March slot (too late for Feb slot) which means I will get the car end of April (early May at the latest)

i have 4 days under my belt now.

beautiful machine to drive but the break-in period will be a killer.

PDCC = no body roll and well worth it.

i love the sand interior the full leather is soooo nice.

the power - well only up to 4k rpm and still fun!

Congratulations! I cannot await to get mine, I have to wait just short of 4 months! How long did you wait between order and getting the keys?

I was very impressed with PDCC and although I would have like to have it as standard, it's definitely worth the money.

What run-in time was suggested by your dealer?

Why did you decide to go for Sport seats? I have been told that they are not very comfortable.

Sport seats are much more supportive. They are not uncomfortable at all, and have better side bolstering. Also, for every Porsche model made the Sport seats are a highly desired option on resale.

My porsche dealer recommended the comfort seats, but I can see both sides of the story. I wanted the sport seats as well but as wifie is a rather a shorty and hates jumping in the X5 sports seats, I have decided to go for the comfort seats (I apologize my statement that the sports seats are uncomfortable is not fair, it's more the fact that wifie can get easier over the lower supports than the more supportive sport seats).

On a similar note a friend told me that the Cayenne GTS leather upholstery can be delivered with the 'suede' (alacantry, however you spell it) as part of the middle, any comments that this option might be available for the Cayenne Turbo as well? My X5 has suede in the middle and this is far more comfortable than my wifies full leather in the Toyota Prado.

My wife is only 5'3" and perhaps 105 lbs. She loves the sport seats and demanded them (it will be her car) as a must have option. The main difference I recall is in the seat back and not on the seat cushion

i have the soft look leather option. i like it with the sand - it looks good but more importantly i think it holds me in more than the standard and i found the bolstering on the sports were crimping the thighs. each to their own.

i had ordered a V6 manual in July 07 but in the end they were not going to ba able to deliver until February 08.

the one i got was on the ocean when i bought it. still took about a month to land, import and ship to the dealer.

BTW - what is a Landcrusier Prado?

Hi CPA,

The Landcruiser Prado is Joanne (wifes) car. I have to say it is an excellent 4x4 and a 7 seater (not that we need it as we are only with the 3 of us) We are using the Prado for camping and when I have to log things around (trips to the garden centre

).

Actually the main reason to go for another big 4x4 for Joannne is that Oman has not a very good road safey record. There are a lot of road accidents, not major (rear end shunts) and with a big 4x4 you have the best chance to go out unhurt.

The Landcruiser has airsuspension as well what give a very comfortable ride on the longer camping trips. That is something I miss on my X5 and really look forward to in my CTT

The Dark Olive Metallic looks great, especially with your choice of interior!

My '06 is Jarama Beige...I'm very happy with that color.
