The reason is probably related to its similarity to the 430. Other than some exterior cosmetic changes, the two cars look alike. Thus, nothing new from a styling standpoint. Performance enhancements is what the Scud is all about.
It is like looking at a 997, 997S, 9974S, 997TT, 997GT3, and 997GT2.

Well done, Nick.
You have finally acknowledged that Porsche is covering all the bases by offering such a wide choice of variants on the same platform.
So which one are you going to buy when your clutch fails.

And that my friend is my problem with Porsche.
For a few more bucks we will sell you a look alike with some additional enhancements. And if that is not enough, I have something here with even more enhancements. And if that is not enough, here are more. On and On and On.
WTF, just sell me a Porsche!

Just went to the dealer to check out the 1st 430 SCUDERIA here. I have to say I have no feeling of the car. I feel strange about that, because I love Ferrari and especially those racing edition. This is the 1st Ferrari that do not impress me at all. Maybe I need to test drive it in order to fall in love with it. The look just don't have the x-factor. This is the 1st time that I think not all Ferrari look great. I can't believe that.
