I actually like red leather, but this is yet another example of how not to do a bicolor interior. The way the 997's interior panels are designed make that exercise quite difficult. Isn't it ironic that it's much easier to produce a convincing custom-made interior in the cheaper Boxster than the iconic Carrera?
On the other hand, GT silver suits Carrera Red really well (probably thanks to the lavender secondary tone in that color). Meteor, slate, and of course black/basalt would work great as well.

Yeah, me neither. Finally saw the combo in person and gotta say they are best for the Turbo. Just a little too busy for the Carrera. They "counteract" the busy Turbo exterior well; they are kinda "what's the point?" and a bit too busy for the Carrera (talking looks-wise only). IMO, of course.

Interesting - this appears to be a custom carrera red / black two tone interior. The standard carrera red includes carpets, upper door and dash all in carrera red. (confirmed on the configurator). Imagine how bright that would look? That said I dont mind it. I think it need the alu centre console to tone down the looks a little though.
Familiar with dog's knobs are you?
