The Wing Is Good (at least OK).
Remember all my consternation (whining and complaining) about the wing sticking out the back of the car? You guys were right: it doesn't bother me very much anymore.
The turning point was a group of guys admiring the car at the Post Office when I came out. We chatted for a minute or so.
I said I loved the car but the wing bothered me a bit; I felt "too old for a wing" (like it was a 20-something thing). One of the guys said, "What wing? Oh, THAT wing," He continued, "It _blends in_, you don't even see it because of the color." Well, the whole issue just appeared in a flash and his response was instant so I guess it's got significant validity. The car is Slate, I guess darker colors work for those of us with "special needs."
