    Don't know about the 10 mm rise @ factory, but Seal Grey

    change of the color was accepted!!!!!!

    I decided to screw CGT silver because there is no longer anything special about it since it's been on the 40th anniv 911 and Boxster. Besides I really think the Seal is much better since it tones the car down even more.

    Seal grey looks absolutely fantastic on the Carrera GT.
    Good choice, you won't regret it!

    I know color choices arevery personal but IMO I completly agree with your choice Ben

    My last Carrera was seal grey, and it's the most beautiful color car I've ever had. Not too dark, but dark enough to accentuate the lines of the car.

    I opted for arctic silver this time out of laziness!!

    Great color. What interior color are you getting? I heard P was allowing more interior customization touches after initial CGT production....true?

    thanks guys. the interior is ascot (though i'm torn by the awesome looking dark grey).

    as for the customization of the interior, my car goes into production on 8/4 so i doubt i'll be able to do any (it went unchangeable 2/04). i'm just thrilled they changed the exterior color! with any luck, they'll also handle the +10 mm ride hieght at the factory too instead of me having to have it done after it arrives (and gets the front end mangled). also, i still think they do it better in leipzig than they do here in the states. i'm pretty sure my car will be only the second one for the dealer at which it will be serviced so their experience won't be great.

    I saw a CGT with the ascot/black interior and it was absolutely beautiful. I'm partial to black / dark grey interiors, but the ascot would be my next car (if they offered it on Carreras!).

    Can't go wrong w/ Seal Grey, that'll be the color on my 997!

    I was disappointed Porsche put Carrera GT Silver on other models. Seal Grey is beautiful. Great choice.

    Thanks Larry. I too was disappointed upon admittedly feeling a little "nick"like about sharing the the color named after the car with other models not so named. Did I hear right they're painting the TT S wheels GT silver as well? Someone has also mentioned it might be a option in 05 for the 997s too.

    4 of 5 are silver..... and seal grey looks extremly great on the CGT!

    996TTS wheels are painted CGT silver, as are Boxster550 wheels. And from pictures I've seen it looks like even SL65/CL65 have adopted this color scheme for their wheels....looks like CGT silver is popular across price ranges and brands....

    GT silver is a "special paint" option (~$3K) for the 997.
