997 options availability
Trying to configure my 997 I found out what options you can order now. Anything else from that list is quoted as "introduction planned for 10/2004". Which mean delivery time at least next spring (again, for those options I mean). Even interior and exterior colours are limited for now (quote - "limited range of colours before 10/2004" and no natural leather, special color or color to sample). To find out the description of a certain code please look in the options list from my previous post.
Here is the list (what you can order now, just to be more precise):
1. Engine transmission and chassis - 249, 450, 475, P17, 640,
2. Exterior - P74, 498, 635, 425, 567, P12, 650
3. Wheels - 403, 446, 482 and the standard 18" rim of the 997C2 of course
4. Interior - 608, 454, 022, P15, P01, 342, XME (No instrument dials in exterior color for now ! I hate that ! Default color is black and I wanted the white ones !!!)
5. Leather interior - 435, 982, leather seats and leather interior package only in standard color (limited choice for now). Any other leather option is not available !
6. Dark wood interior (macassar) - not available.
7. Light wood interior (planewood) - not available.
8. Carbon interior - not available.
9. Aluminium Look / stainless steel interior - not available.
10. Audio and communication - 670, 666, 680
And that's all folks ! Not much to choose from.
And because I want to buy a 997C2 now not two years from now I even might get one without leather, which might become a problem on resale - I am not the leather type of person
On the bright side the car should be cheaper
