VK -- i owned a 360 spider but found it too poseur... it's the return to lightweight performance focus of the CS that rings my bell... I'm not sure i want a 430... but a 430 CS for sure....
430 orders not being taken and i hear all 360 orders unfilled to date have been transferred to 430 orders making for quite a backlog.... what do you guys hear?
Watt my understanding is those on the wait list lose out. They start a new list for the 430. Orders for 360 Spiders will be filled. Once Ferrari decides to to stop building the 360 they stop taking orders.

If you are on the list for a 430 for quite a while (which is no real list, just a letter of intend), you will get the 430 asap, what means around early 2005 in Europe.

I've consistently heard that 360/Enzo are/were not as difficult to obtain in Europe vs US, as measured by secondary mkt premiums....sounds like F has continued to starve US demand. Is that Europe vs US undersupply disparity real in your view? If it is, I suspect wait lists for 430 in US will be based on cold capitalist logic....first 430s will go to the early and serial 360 buyers, F's best customers.....and unknowns who never managed to get 360 during its production run will be pushed to back of 430 line.....sort of like getting past the velvet ropes at a hot NYC nightclub......

.In Europe the waiting list for the 360 was about 2 to 3 years, if you haven't ordered one in advance. It became shorter now at the end of its production life. I think the situation will be the same for the 430. If you order now (what means if you already could order it), your delivery will be not before, let's say, 2006/2007. If you don't have the connections (because you important enough to Ferrari) to step into your dealer's, make an order and get the car within a couple of months (and someone else has to step back), the only way to get an early model seems to be ordering one years in advance.
