Any opinions on the crash between Flying Lizard and the other guy? I personally thought the 911 leading the Flying Lizard car cut across too fast.
That was Robin Liddell in the lead Porsche, and no, I felt the cause was down to JvO just being too aggressive. The general rule is you better be alongside before the turn-in point (or very close to it) when you make a move up the inside, or the lead car has the corner, and can turn in to the apex. There is also the factor of the lead car not knowing the trail car has made a pass attempt if he is not alongside, so the lead car turns in and a crash is the result. I think if Liddell knew JvO was halfway up the inside he would not have turned in, not because JvO was in the right, but rather to avoid a crash.
