    Someone was jealous and he threw something to me!

    It was 2 o'clock and I was with my bro and dad. I did not do anything wrong, drove slowly because my dad was there and someone came to me with grey Jeep Grand Cherokee. His plate number is 33YG77 and he stopped in a traffic light while he was supposed to go, he did it on purpose and he gave me a hand. I was mad and I went to the other lane and cut him. In the next traffic light, he said "F*** you" to me and I opened my window, and my dad screamed at him. I closed my window and he threw a plastic bottle cap to my window.

    He is just an a$$hole, anyone out there in Boston, watch out, this guy is crazy. Maybe he is jealous?

    I'm sure you meant 2 o'clock at night, don't worry he is a drunken bum as most of the people in Boston are by that time. To tell you the truth I try my best not to drive at 2 and little before or after that, lots of drunken weirdo's, that I once almost got hit BADLY by a drunken idiot who decided not to take the exit after he was in there already and cut me off BADLY that if I wasn't cautious I would have been in the ER for weeks

    You always get things thrown at you, you must be doing something wrong. Just be carefull, next time you might find someone who "throws" a bullet at you and I'm not kidding.

    I had a similar encounter with a long-haired guy with a bycicle in my town's downtown. He moved in front of me at a red light exactly when the light turned green and I started to accelerate. I almost hit him because I didn't see him coming, he came from the left and not the right as bycicle riders usually do in Germany. I honked at him and this crazy guy moved to the left again IN FRONT OF ME (I could have killed him) and tried to hit my door with his right foot.
    Happy me I had my window open and I pushed him away from the car (can you imagine that...?).
    Apparently he wasn't prepared for my "action" and he started to drive away very fast. I was so p.ss.d that I started to follow him and he was still going like crazy and almost hit several pedestrians because he moved to the sidewalk.
    At a huge intersection he couldn't pass because of a heavy traffic and I stepped out of my car and went up to him.
    He saw me and took out a swiss army knife(I couldn't keep myself from starting to laugh) and I asked him if he wants to hurt me with his fork. He looked at me pretty shocked because he apparently was prepared to see me freightened.
    I calmed down because I realized how stupid this situation was and I told him to take away his toy and that if I see his face again, I'll KILL him. Of course this was a joke from my part but this guy took off like a rocket when the stop light changed to green.

    Now imagine he had a gun and would have shot at me...

    It isn't worth it to loose the life or health for such stupid and crazy people. Just relax, breathe deeply and drive away. This is what I do in such situations, I learned my lesson.

    I have had this issue twice in two months. I am pretty sure I did not do anything wrong, I drove very slowly, I went to my own lane, I didn't interrupt his lane and you can tell that I was driving 5mph because my dad was there. I did not drive it wrongly.

    I didn't do anything either but this doesn't stop psychos from feeling provoked. I could tell you stories...they would fill the whole forum for days.
    Just be careful, especially in the US where guns are legal in many states.
    Unfortunately violance between drivers happens over here in Germany too, several cases over the past few years with shot(!) or stabbed drivers tell it all.

    I agree with RC.

    I think its wise to "train oneself" to keep the head cool, and turn the other cheek, in any trafffic situation where someone gets angry for some reason.
    I read a statistic somewhere saying that people are increasingly stressed, living in cities, and even normally cool headed people loose thier wits sometimes, so I would actually feel proud to be able to not respond to any insult, or other agression,while driving, its just not worth it.
    I am preparing for the worst, since a lot of people seem to react
    harder to someone in a nice car such as the Cayenne, its just human prejudice, unfortunately.
    I actually considered this for a long time before deciding to go for a Cayenne, since I know this will give occasional incidences in traffic, and elsewhere.
    Here in Denmark, cars are taxed 180 %, so there is even more of this kind of incident, it's quite common for people to scratch you car, out of jelousy, or other, andI live right in the city, so my CS will be parked in the street...I hope it will be ok.
    Anyone have any knowledge about how secure the Cayenne is from intruders wanting to steal, should I go for any supplemental security device?
    I just hate the idea, of having to spend time and energy worrying about this kind of thing, it would destroy my everyday joy of driving, and owning a CS...
