    But I keep wondering why Porsche put this strange plastic rim around the headlights that does not match with the color of the car :dunno: Any ideas
    For me that would be an extra reason to order the 997 in sealgrey (That was my fav color in the first place, so no matter)

    Edit: And what strikes me now, is the shape of the body between the exhausts... not a very elegant sollution, is it?

    My idea is that you will understand when you see the car "in person". You will then realise it's an integral part of the headlight glass, and not a "strange plasic rim" around it, as you thought from the photos.

    Could be Dark Teal too. Looks more bluish than FGM.

    Yes it is very hard to see that the left car is dark green and the right car is black. I guess next time I'll have to use a better camera

    Current Carrera C2's have had body color bumperettes since '02 model year (not Targa/Turbo or C4S/Boxster). But for that perfect look, WE do them every day.

    The Bumperettes RUIN the back end of the car - MUST REMOVE

    How do you get those off the car again?

    The Boxster shown in that pic is the current 986, not the 987.

    To remove the standard ones you use a #6 allen wrench up underneath. Loosen the bolt and they slide off their bracket. Then you are left with metal brackets protruding from the bumper cover - not pretty.

    The colored ones on the C2 since '02 are simple plastic shields. They have tabs all the way around, but you can work them loose. Then there is a clamshell unit underneath which attached through the bumper cover to the reinforcement. Not pretty either.

    Is the #5 color GT Silver or silver? Also, the preliminary order guide had no Guards Red, but in the pictures there is one C2 in red. Is red going to be available? I order my 997 next week and still have not decided the color. Thanks.

    I think it was Revvv who confirmed in another thread that guards red has now been added to the latest order guide update.
