Cayenne S : paint /abs/psm problems

look at theese pictures.
It's possible that PORSCHE is built like a Fiat ??
I'd like to know where was the final inspection's guy .........and what is doing now ......smoking cannabis?

It looks bad, I agree!

This is the first bad paint I have seen on a Cayenne. I have been very impressed with the paint actually. This is surely an abnormality that your dealer, or if necessary PAG, will help you with. I don't think it is acceptable, judging from what I see in your photos!

Looking at the picture, I suspect that the dealer (or importer) has resprayed your door - hence the different colour paint and poor spraymarks. This happens quite often when a car is scratched or pranged in transit. In your case it looks like the paint is the wrong colour completely - modern paint should be far easier to match than this (it's all coded).

I would return the car and insist on a proper job, plus some form of compensation for this. It's pretty bad!

This is unbelieveble, and if your dealer doesn't compensate you, a letter should go directly to PAG, you will be treated with respect I can assure you. Who knows what might happened to that door, how can a dealer deliver a brand new car in this condition is behond me.

I get it last friday !!!!!(4 days ago!)

Friday morning I went to my dealer to sign the immatricolation's documents and I saw the paint error !
Noboby noticed this ridicolous error! (leipzig /importer/my dealer).

Obviously they said that they call immediatly Porsche Italia to tell them the problem ,and that asap they repaint my door (and all the left side of the car)

than in the afernoon I retired the car ,BUT when i put the key in the keyhole .....abs and psm lights didn't disappear.

the Porsche computer tells that there is a problem with the right wheel abs sensor ......yesterday my dealer mechanics change 2 times this item but the lights after a couple of km reappear.

I've also a 996 My 2002 ,and that car (a real Porsche) has NO PROBLEMS in 45000 km ,a lot ao trackdays,travels,rain,snow,ice,hot,mountain,see......

I know that my dealer try to resolve theese problems asap ,but i think that a car called Porsche HAS TO be perfect or with little troubles.

I'll write a letter with theese pictures and thoughts to Porsche AG in Leipzig and in Zuffenhausen.

I'm not sure about Europe, but in the US if the car is repainted it looses value just for that fact, and if you paid for a "new" car then they should compensate you in some way.

These electrical problems with the Cayenne are getting ridiculous, and I'm afraid the 997 is going to similar, though "maybe" not as bad since its not completely new like the cayenne but based on the 996. Its the plague of modern cars it seems, except japanese cars it seems

the most likely thing is that the car was damaged in transport, and one of the middlemen, importer/dealer noticed it and tried to hide it by doing a repaint of the door. and a shitty one at that,

if they were at all competant, you wouldnt even have known the door was likely banged in shipment...

see if you can get them to take it back and take your business to a less shady dealer.

Sergio, I don't get it: didn't you check your Cayenne when you picked it up at your dealer? When I picked up my Cayenne Turbo, me and the owner of the dealership went around the car and looked at everything to make sure there aren't scratches or any other problems.
You should have NEVER accepted to take the car in this condition, now things might be difficult.

What does the dealer say in the first place?

In my opinion there are only two solutions:
1. your dealer takes the car back and provides a new one (new order or a similar stock car)
2. you accept a repainting (perfectly done!) but at the same time your dealer agrees to give you a rebate of at least 3000-5000 Euro or the same value let's say in parts like winter wheels, etc. He also needs to give you a document where it states why the car has been repainted in certain parts (for resale later on).

Taking in consideration that the car is brandnew and that you also have that strange PSM/ABS problem, I would NOT accept the car anymore and return it back to the dealer.
At the same time WRITE a letter to your dealer and Porsche Italy to tell them your huge disappointment and that you're NOT accepting a simple solution.
If they don't want to take the car back (or if you need one ASAP and they can't provide a similar one), you might want to discuss with them about a rebate of some kind.
PLEASE: everything in WRITTEN(!), letters and no faxes or eMails.

my daler phoned immediatly to Porsche italy and they promise me to repaint all the left side of my car.

I also phoned to Porsche italy explaining my problems ,and after 10 minuts my delaer phone me....they ask me to not write any letters to Porshce AG because if i do so ,they will be in troubles.

I've also a 996 ,with a tuning chip and exaust ,I use it in a lot of trackdays : i think that if I put them in troubles they can not offer me the warranty .....undersand?

so ....if the car's paint will be ok (after I'll examine with my no porsche restaurator mechanincs ..the best in italy)....i hope that my troubles are finish !
if not ....my lawiers will write a lot of letters.
