Cayenne Turbo (facelift) Performance Figures avail

Taken from a german car magazine (tested, not factory claim):

0-100 kph: 5.0 seconds (Cayenne Turbo S: 5.3 seconds)
0-200 kph: 18.0 seconds (Cayenne Turbo S: 18.9 seconds)

Not bad at all for the new Cayenne Turbo, especially since it has 21 HP less than the "old" Turbo S.

Just for comparison: a 993 Carrera does 0-200 kph in aprox. 22 seconds.

That 0-200kph time is blistering fast for any 4 passenger vehicle. Its really quite a engineering achievement to have that speed and serious off road ability.

I also have a second Cayenne Turbo S time:
0-100 kph in 5.4 seconds
0-200 kph in 19.9 seconds.

So the new Cayenne Turbo facelift is definetely faster than the "old" Turbo S, even if it isn't by much. New owners can be very happy.

The new Automobile magazine has the ML63 times, versus the CTT. I don't recall them exactly, but I think the ML63 was faster in just about every category. A bit disappointing to me, as this is the second major magazine test (EVO was first) which seems to favor the ML63 both on the track and on the street.

I know the two have been compared on various threads, but if someone could post their personal experience comments again here (someone who has experience with both cars) I would much appreciate the summary. I will be ordering a CTT for Leipzig factory pickup later this year, and am quite interested in any information. Thanks in advance...

1/4mile: 13.2@108mph / 13.1@109mph

0 - 100mph: 11.4s / 11s
0 - 130mph: 25.0s / 24.7s

Braking 100 - 0: 4.40 / 4.60

Max Speed: 164.6mph / 159.8mph

The West Circuit: 1:29.55 / 1:30.05

The current issue of the German "Autozeitung" compares new cayenne turbo with ML63AMG. The results:

Cayenne / ML63
0-100 kph 5.2 / 5.1 seconds.
0-180 kph 15.1 / 14.2 seconds.
Test consumption 23.5 / 18, 9 (l/100km)
Brakingdistance (100 kph-0 kph) coldly 37.8 / 36.9 m
The ML 63 wins the test and achieved place 1.

Do you all buy your cars according to magazines ? because once the powerkit is out it's all over.

I really don't care about these numbers, if I wanted to race I'd go the 911 route.

Thanks for these new results. I pay only some attention to magazines, but as a Porsche enthusiast I am a bit disappointed with the CTT coming up second in three influential (I guess) magazines. I bet Porsche is a bit embarassed as well.

Don't get me wrong, I will surely buy the CTT and not the M63, and I have not compared interiors, quality, etc. But I admit to being a bit stung by these results...
