    Found a 993 Turbo S for sale

    Was just picking up some papers at my dealer and saw this 993 Turbo S for sale. It is in fair condition, but has VERY low mileage for such a car.

    Anyways, here are some pics. Btw the asking price is 220k US

    Definately! Will hold it's value a lot better as well.

    I suspect the car might have been in a minor accident, but I need to confirm. The front bumper has definately been to the paint shot before.

    We are going to my sister's for Mother's Day this weekend, and I am going to look at two 993TTS's myself on Saturday at a nearby dealer.

    Is that mileage too low? I hear from a lot of 993TT owners that miles that low may not be all that good as far as the engine seals go(not continuously lubed). What year is it Mike?

    What kind of Turbo S is that?! No fender vents and no yellow calipers, lack of "S" tail?

    Guy probably bought a sticker and stuck it on.

    Definately not a Turbo S Most people wouldn't know the difference if they don't know what to look out for.

    Hi, it's low mileage but not THAT low. It's a 98 model. Still pondering....

    That's a non-S with a 996 "S" slapped on the back of the car next to the "Turbo" insignia.

    I had my heart set on upgrading from a 993C4S to a 993TTS. But after shopping I concluded this is a real collector's car - not the car for me to drive about on Chicago's pot-holed streets in winter! It would be a better investment than a new car, but only had (I think) 25 hp more than the 993TT. I opted for the more practical (although perhaps not financially) 997TT.

    Damn after seeing all those sites - it makes the 993 TTS look "common" They are still selling for a good price in the states. Almost 200k!

    Yes, but "selling price" and "asking price" are not always so close. Some of those cars have been on the site for years, so if you want to sell a car quickly, I think a more realistic price is quite a bit lower...

    Did you consider upgrading to a non-S 993TT. That might have been a good choice too. Less than half the money of the 997TT with WAY better resale. Nice not to worry about repair costs with the new car though...
