    Looks like a photoshop of a DB9, Carrera GT, Cayman S and V8 Vantage....

    I doubt that this is the way AM should go. Midengined sportscar from the brand that is known for luxury GT? I don't think so. And BTW, we are not talking about a F430/Gallardo/997tt competitor here, this car - if it ever comes - is said to be in the 500.000 USD price range.

    Great concept,a mid-engine sports car from Aston Martin would give them an even bigger edge among other competitors. I just think that this particular photo (however persuasive it may look), looks like a photoshop of the above mentioned cars.

    First I would make sure that the company survives the next few years before I made a huge investment in a new production line, tooling etc. for a mid-engined car. But that's just me

    Agree. AM is as much associated to front-engined GTs as Lambo is to mid-engined flamboyant supercars.

    Can you imagine 2+2 front-engined GT from Lambo, ala Bentley continental ?

    Perhaps nowadays everybody thinks he has to offer everything. Sports car producers offer SUVs, family sedan makers offer mid-engined sports cars...

    Temm, you are absolutely right! Prior owners of Aston Martin have thought that the gravy train would never end. One reason it has been bought and sold so many times since it was founded.

    You mean like this Lamborghini 400GT Coupe 2+2? One of thier first truly great cars, and what Lamborghini set out to build in the first place?

    The mid engine Aston may be only a stepping stone to building a REAR engine 2 +2 Aston.
    Dr. Bez of Aston, has some experience building those ; He was responsible for the 964 and planned the 993.
    I'm sure he would like to stick it to Porsche just for old times sake.

    btw, Lambo also built the front engine 4 seat Espada that did 170mph and was the fastest four seat car during its life from 1969-1975.
