thanks for the feedback, I did this, result, the emmisions are outside of the tol. tresholds (yes it is the cylinder bank light)
I got some wierd answers from the lambo shop, once they tell me it should be ok, then it is related to a gas filter in the fuel tank, and the newest one is a coil failure
so before they replace all of this, let me know if some one had similiar problems
the engien runs fine, despite the warning light

Back OT...
Did you get 'EOBD engine bank (6-10) or engine bank(1-5) malfunction? This symbol lights up when faults have occured in the engine.
Potentially problem is in faulty exhaust sensors. If you got slightly high emission reading that warning lights will go on.
On the other hand if you got 1-5 or 6-10 Cat problem (probably 'cos of the unburnt fuel going into the cat) then I am affaraid your cats are dying and you will need new ones.
Also it is a good idea to replace colis and coil seal covers.
On early Gallardo's sensors are really overly sensitive to fluctuations in emissions and moisture.
BTW, is your exhaust standard(important!) and is your car tuned in any way?

So, new coils and coil seal covers first. Then let them check out you cats-they could be dying as I already said.
Your car has more then 18000km's as you said and cats on this first Gallardo'd were not as good as the one on current cars.
I guess that you drove your car pretty hard as well...

Ok after start up the car and the engine is warmed up, when make the rev up to 3-4k (i mean at Neutral) did you feel a pinking on steering wheel.
Also the first treatment for check engine light is doing a electronically fix also the change the the coils and sparks.
Probably the engine light must be gone.

I think this diagnosis might apply just as much to one of the cats in Rossi's photo as to those of the Gallardo.
