    Aftre modification how reliable is the 996TT ?

    hi all,
    Aftre modification how reliable is the 996TT ? any if you guys have over 550HP modifications do you have any problems ? cultch ? gear noise ? burning more oil? let me know your feedbacks and your experiance with the modifying 996TT

    I have gone one year with EVO/GIAC's stage 4 (600HP-ish) upgrade with a Sachs level 2 clutch (my mechanic felt slippage with the stock clutch so we upgraded pronto), I shorted one MAF the first week driving it after the upgrade last spring, but the replacement Bosch part held and the car cranked all summer. There was a slight uptick in oil consumption at first (expected and not a sign of engine "damage"), but otherwise the car put on thousands of miles in spirited driving without fault.

    I just got my car back from the mechanic this week with its GT700 upgrade, and the car rips, using a Sachs level 3 clutch on the X73 suspension. I'll try the 100 octane program next week (with GIAC flashloader and 100 octane refill) once the rain cleans the roads of salt this weekend-it's been a LONG winter around these parts. But last week the car ran flawlessly.

    My most important recommendation would be to tune with a combination of mods. that covers the mechanical needs of a tuned up 996TT, but the most important factor is the presence of a local mechanic capable of servicing such a car, or prepare to ship yours away periodically.

    After my mods, I no longer "use" oil. I replaced the clutch so...no problems here. No problems associated with mods at all!

    same here after my mods i kept my clutch i might changed when its done, but dont you guys have the rpm problem sometimes the engine just shut off or the rpm gose up and down....but they told me its becuz its modified!!

    No reliability issues at all after the EVO Stage 2 upgrade/LWFW/EVO air box.

    Stage 3 here (542 HP, 788 Nm). Over 35'000 km with this config (the car had 276'000km total), including two 4-days trips to the N'ring + some sustained high-speed driving (up to 340km/h indicated). Had to replace the gearbox at about 255'000km, but it was still the original one. No other issue.

    this is because ur airmass sinsor .. sinsor elhawa .. replace it and u will find ur rpm will be as the same as the rpm in the stock car .. badlah wed3ely

    Excuse us kiko he wrote to me hard time to pm in arabic or to write in english ,

    i will translate to you wat was the subject we are talking about how the 996t reliable after modefications,
    i have problem that while im driving the PSM & ABS shuts off and i have to turn off the car, plus the rpm gose up & down, he told me that i have to change the air sensior and the problem will go, i asked him if its possible to clean then replacing the modified one, hope you got my point, how is your car doing kiko with your modificatioins ? and all the respect to this great forum.
