    New toys:

    Before with stock tailights, stock cargraphic quad tips and black "turbo" emblem


    Stock tailights on left and red tailights on right plus new painted "turbo" emblem and ceramic coated quad tailpipes

    Yup, cobalt is definetely a color that needs the red tail lights, looking great man!

    Cobalt blue is far from my favorite colour but with those mods you've made the car look absolutely superb. Fantastic job!!

    I must say that I am against any mods on 997 turbo...

    BUT, yours and Rami's mods are very tastefull indeed!

    I think painting the exhaust tips black is a good idea; no matter which design or shape they are.

    Love the rear lights. I have a pair sitting at the dealers waiting to be picked up. Looking forward to fitting them.

    Did you go off the black rear badge? I was thinking of heading in that direction.

    I guess that for some its a love/hate relationship. I'm one of those that's on the fence but I admit that it's slowly growing on me.

    As for the badge, yeah, I didn't like the way the black badge disappears on Cobalt blue so I went with the aluminum painted version instead. The stock chrome one is a bit too "blingy" for me.

    Too "blingy" on a Cobalt Blue car? I think the stock chrome looks classy. Just my .02

    Can't get over how nice those rims look on a Cobalt blue car. The rear tail lights are nice either way and the black turbo logo vs silver is a toss up too with me leaning toward the black look. I am a big fan of color to match logo's also.

    I agree with you. On rami's pics, I loved the red tail lights but on jason's cobalt, I just don't know anymore. Maybe it's the color, maybe it's the picture's angle. Dont know. I'm confused.

    Red lights would look better on a dark car, the alum. turbo badge looks better than black, but I prefer chrome(stock), which I wouldn't call 'blingy' either.
    Now, those black tailpipes are right out of 'fast & furious', not my taste, jm .02

    The only reason why I even went with black tips in the first place is because the tips started turning brown from the intense heat. Looks bad, imho.

    You can see it happening on the left side. The right was "new" so it hadn't happened yet.

    Well, IMHO, it makes the car look taller. What you want is to make the car larger and thiner, not thicker. So, I've change my mind, it's a no go, especially with bright colors.

    Just get a can of high heat black spray paint, same effect. At least that's what we did in high school.

    That wouldn't work. The turbos put out heat in the 1100 degree range. It'd burn those paint right off!

    If you look at the Cayenne, they all have the same red tailights as do the older 930/964/993 models.
