    Audi RS4 World Car of the Year 2007

    At the NYIAS, the Audi RS4 was named WCOTY, beating out the BMW 335i and Porsche 997 Turbo:

    Obviously, comparing a front-engine four-door sedan to a rear-engine sports car is somewhat apples-and-oranges, but something about it swayed this jury. And they didn't even vote on the version with the bolt-on supercharger upgrade-which I'll get.

    I was really surprised that it wasn't 997 turbo. But I guess looking at it like 10 years ago what audi was and what it is now should have played a big role in judges decision.

    So Al, how much Power your RS4 will have ? more than your turbo ?

    If feasible, well.... Since my 996TT now has probably 680 crank HP-on 93 octane-perhaps 700 on 100 octane-that's a tall order.

    If I put MTM's supercharger package on it, it advertises 540PS (?532HP). I don't think there's room under the hood for a proper turbocharger conversion though to get up to 700 thoroughbred's.

    No more tricky than pulling the pin out of a grenade .

    Yes, but the mtm supercharger conversion is modest enough to not require lowering the compression ratio as opposed to a more aggressive turbo setup. I shold have put in a "sarcasm" smiley, but we don't have one. Perhaps the "smirk" smiley would work.
