    AMV8 and 997

    jcparki and I took our cars out this morning for some photos at the F1 track (yet to be fully removed) and around Melbourne. Here are some of the photos. It wasn't a great day for photos but here are the results. Enjoy.

    When I picked the car up from the dealer a few weeks ago...i didn't even look at the wheels...was supposed to get 19"...but as you can see they are the 18". So its going to be 3 months till they arrive...and I was told I might as well use up the rubber on the tyres! Bring on Phillip Island!!!!

    WAY...the pics turned out great!

    some [beep] rear ended me the other day, minor damage, but still a pain to look at! thx

    Great looking couple!

    A shame there was no sun, but these two look great with any weather. And although I admit that the V8 is one of the best looking cars currently around, I think that the 997 can keep up with it in every aspect.

    At least the 18s would give you a softer ride on the road. Probably not the best for tracking?

    Thanks all for the compliments. I think our cars looked great together, all we need is a few more exotics to join us for our next photo shot. Melbourne is a very beautiful city, and if any of you ever visit, I'll be happy to meet up.

    That looks more like a day to take photo! Anyway, we were on that road too. Here is a photo of us in the middle of Beach Rd where you were.

    I love the look of your Vantage, gorgeous!

    The design of the Vantage is Austin Martins best ever, in my opinion.

    Is it true that soon the F1 will soon no longer be in Melbourne?

    It was sad when we lost the race here in Adelaide several years ago, wonder which state will have it next?

    yep, i've been in Melbourne a few times, i remember seeing Boxster's absolutely everywere, Gallardo's among other supercars.
    We went to the Philipp Island circuit too where they were racing factory-prepared XR8 Falcons.

    Victoria Very is a very nice place, keep enjoying and posting some pics

    No...just the Std AM 19". Tho i do love the Kann. I thought they only came in 20" tho?

    I agree WAY. And we should do a Rennteam catch up on the Great Ocean Road. After Easter, the tourists are alot less and the drive alot more enjoyable!

    starting to see a few more AMV8 on the road now in Melb. Sounds amaaaaazing!

    and saw my first 997GT3 on the road last night. wow!!!
    its a tough call! but leaning towards GT3.

    till a couple of yrs b4 I can afford either of them tho. but one day.......


    and the new option of the anthracite tinted 19" for the AMV8 looks mad!
    but maybe better suited for lighter colours.

    way, if I'm getting a 997, it'll look exactly like yours. love your color combination and the wheels! damn, it's so hard to decide between the 997/987 still. both are great cars but one is a legend. :P

    Bon, thanks for the compliment. I used to have a Boxster S, and trust me you can't go wrong if that is what you buy. Both are great cars!
