GT3 RS MR modifications :
- Stock engine (measured power at 496,9 hp)
- Stock gearbox
- Stock PS Cup 2 tyres (no ultra-hardcore version like AMG GT R or Corvette Z06!)
- 1,8 bar warm tyre pressure on both axles
- 20% more downforce than factory-RS (probably because of the different rear wing-setup)
- Adjustable suspension from the GT3 R (with 12% softer setup)
- Magnesium wheels
- Road-legal racing pads
- 3,5 Degrees camber on both axles
- After a few 1:06.2 min laps it managed its best time of 1:05,8 min on brand new tyres.
997 GT3 RS 3.6 - 964 RS - 993 RS - 991 GT3 RS
Gnil:Porker:A couple more pictures from today's event.
Frank , it was great seeing you again. Hopefully next time you ll be behind the wheel ! Thanks for the pics. The workhorse looks good !
Likewise, always good to see you guys! How was the second day of driving?
Thanks for the lap by the way, car and driver equally impressive. Can't get over what a leap of performance the 991 is compared to the 997, in terms of grip and drivability.

Rumours have it that the 991.2 GTS is a leap of performance over the 991.1 GT3 RS too A Manthey modified GT3 RS even

Indeed we heard reports of a 991.2 GTS, CH registered lapping 6'59" in traffic, with children on board. Was that you?

does it still get light on the front when going over 220km/h as my 997 C4S did? it was really scary.

Oh god, are we going to repeat this whole story again, but now with the GTS?

I think that was a typo. Correct time actually was a 6'39".

Err, no, it's 6'66'', the number of the beast.

With the Tire-Technology of 2017 I would say shave 7 seconds off - with a NBR set up even more....
bluelines:It is just a rumour. I am not making any claims. I leave that to the RT members involved in this incident
You mean having to let pass the Motor Trend test driver in the factory GTS and not being able to keep up with him more then a few corners
hum.... numbers on papers are again not matching real live driver's skills ?
964 Carrera 4 -- 997.2 C2S , -20mm -- 991 GT3 RS
I had to look up the numbers though and it turns out the there is only 3.77 seconds difference around the Nordschleife between the 991.1 GT3 RS and the 991.2 GTS. I was surprised to see such little difference, but I guess the torque from the new turbo engine helps a lot on a track like the Nordschleife. Hence it is not unlikely the encounter was with a factory spec car.

The torque difference was there . The GTS pulled stronger out of corners then my RS .
