GT3 wheels

A little surprised that I haven't seen anyone fit GT3 wheels to a c2 or c4 yet. Are the 12" rears too wide, or simply not widely available yet?

I'm considering this but have not done much about it as yet. I love the wheels on the GT3.

The 12 is nice but I already have 11.5 in the back (XRR) and 8.5 in the front,--so it's just not worth the trouble for 1/2 inch.

I would expect them to fit, as the body of the standard GT3 is the same as the C2/C2S.

Does anything notice how odd it is that the GT3 rears are wider (As are the Carrera Sport's XRR rims) than the turbo wheels? Usually the turbo has the widest of the line.

Talked to the guys at Wheelenhancement and they have fitted 2 997S to date and say its a pretty straightforward swap. $4300 for 4 for those interested

For those of you interested, I found out that to fit these onto a C4S or a Turbo, you'd need 17mm spacers in the rear. I'm also curious about whether the stock 305mm tires will fit on those 12" wheels without looking too distorted. I noticed that the GT3 comes with 305mm tires in the rear whereas the Turbo also comes with 305mm tires on 11.5" rear wheels.
