Yup caught it myself last night, very poor! Blatantly trying to follow in the success of Top Gear, which I think is a mistake, as whilst Top Gear gets huge ratings as a car program its gone down hill!!!!!. Much preferred the actual Car content that Fifth Gear had. Pieces on crushing peoples rubbish cars is fun but probably best suited to kids TV!!!!
Have to say I can't complain about the bit where Tiff chucks the Gallardo Spyder all over the place!!! What a great noise!!!! Was surprised that he preferred the 430 though

I think Fifth Gear are trying to imitate Top Gear but are failing miserably. 
Clearly they also dropped the idea of timing cars around a track and inputting the times on their computer.
Why on earth are they presenting the show from the Ace Cafe? That's a bikers' cafe. Since when have Fifth Gear or Top Gear been about bikes? They're only about cars!
Vicki Butler Henderson seems to be giggling and shrieking even more than usual in a vain attempt to have some chemistry with the blond guy sitting next to her. He appears to know absolutely nothing about cars. What's worse is that he seems so happy to admit this and even seems proud of it...on a car programme??
Tiff Needell and Tom Ford have now just been pushed into the background - they're less sexy to look at on TV.
Jason Plato is busy driving in the British Touring Cars Championship so he has disappeared.
In terms of content, the show has gone rapidly downhill. Test drives of the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (with Kevin Peterson) or the Porsche Cayman (with Freddie Flintoff) were rare moments to enjoy. Otherwise, watching an old diesel merc travel on chip fat or old cars getting crushed etc are just cr*p television.
Please get better soon Richard Hammond. We miss Top Gear. Fifth Gear is dire!

Sheet, if I wanted an "everyman" view I'd just ask my neighbor!
There are plenty of shows for non-petrolheads. If 5th Gear goes the same way as Top Gear there will not be one show for petrol-heads.
How many petrol-heads are there at Ofcom. How likely is it that that organisation will positively influence a show's content, unless it is to tell the producers to eliminate pornography?
Kevin, you call yourself Viewer Adviser. Instead, take some Advice from a Viewer. Do a U-turn and get back into 5th. gear fast before you run out of gas and your channel gets so marginalized you can rename it Channel 931 or something.
Next thing we know they'll be hiring Clarkson!

Can someone give me their email? I absolutely hate the new Fifth Gear. They used to pride themselves with their driving ability unlike Top Gear. I think if we all and our other car friends across different car forums send a complaining email to them they may just get the message.
