    VERY nice looking car. Limited edition for 130,000 Euros. It'll be more exclusive than the AMV8 for a little more money. Hopefully it drives as good as it looks. I'm sure I won't be seeing an soon unfortunately.

    I think it's beautiful! Clearly going for an Italian answer to the AMV8 more so than the 911. Better looking than the Maserati coupe. Too bad it isn't available here in the states. Still, the price! Not for Alfa. They may be looking for a halo car. Perhaps an inspiration for a new Duetto design (the new Alfa spider looks too like a chick's car, Very Mercedes SLK).

    Being a combo of a lot of cars and designs (Alfa, Maserati, TVR) it ended up looking only slightly better than most of those japanese wanabe supercars... I'll pass on this one.

    Do you guys really think that 250 cars worldwide can not be sold for 130.000 Euro ?
    If you are talking bigger numbers I agree Alfa would have a problem but 250 cars only

    250 only? didnt knew..in that case , yes, they will be sold imo

    I didn't know either but I just read it in a quote from Kreso. If 250 is correct I really think Alfa won't have a problem at all and than I don't understand why the price has to be criticized.

    Because new Maserati will share almost all technical stuff with 8C and will cost about 40000Euro less!
    If that is not good reason, then I really do not understand some of views here...
    And new Maser will look a lot better IMO.
    Price of 8C, despite limited production is too high IMHO. Only one last thing, final price in August 2007(start of production) could be even higher!

    If it is true that 250 units are planned than the price must be accordingly from a manufactures point of view.
    I am a manufacturer and if I produce 250 pieces of a product in stead of a normal production run my end price HAS to be higher to cover the development cost , tooling cost , etc.
    Again , I see no reason why Alfa won't find 250 people who are willing to fork out 130K. Whatever other cars offer or don't offer.
    Anyway , I agree that the car is too expensive for what it is IF the car had a normal not limited production run.

    Alfa will produce 250 coupes and 250 roadsters version of 8C. Starting price is 130000Euro... Roadster 10000Euro more.
    My point is that new Maserati, which is technical twin of 8C will cost around 90000Euro and will offer more options and so. Also it will be coupe/cabrio a la Mercedes SL...
    New Alfa 8C is only interesting as collector item(or for die hard Alfa fans) IMHO.

    Most probably Alfa Romeo was afraid, that they could NEVER sell enough cars of the 8C Competizione, even if they had priced if for 90k Euro. And for 70k Euro the development would have been too expensive.
    So they decided to push the price to 130/140k Euro with a very low production number as a collecors item only.

    i aggree that the price is too high, but if the romours are right, this car gonna be light..fast..and extremly good in handling!! we'll see...
    I would prefer a 8c than a 997s,r8, and so on...this really have charm..it looks like a modern 33 stradale!!!! and there will be no other car as goddlooking as this!!! and if it is a true sport car then you have all in one!!!
    the car is going to be 0-100 in 4 sec and a top speed 310kmh i've heard here in italy???? if this is true wouldn't you prefer it to the rest that can do the same prestanda?? with the most stylist look??? I would

    As I said it all depends about the prestanda, if it is as fast as 430 or gallardo I ( my personal opinion) would prefer it , in order also that there will only be 250 in production so it will be for sure a car that is absolutely exclusive.
    And in MY OPINION it's real beauty ( i'm a 911 fan and will always be) but at the moment I can't find a more beautiful car !!!!!
    I agree that they should have done a 8c in class with cayman with around 300/320 hp and fight against 350z tt cayman...etc.....and price in 60.000 euro class.

    They say that already have sold all of them. So about selling them it is no problem..... The price it is criticized because an Alfa should not cost more than a Maserati or an 911.... Just think about the first depreciation.... first 3 to 4 year....

    So I guess when it would be a Maserati or an other accepted exotic name the price would be ok for this light carbon car ? But because it is an Alfa it's too expensive.
