    BENTLEY SUV based on common platforms

    An interesting piece of news as I was browsing world car fans yesterday. It proves that basically, cars from AUDI, BENTLEY, VW and PORSCHE do share many parts in common. Now there is this Bentley jeep and it is only a matter of time before we see the Lymbo Jeep and WHY NOT? When you already have all the basics so why not cash in on the technology... and most people would not disagree that Porsche rolls out the Cayenne Base version based largely on the VW Toureg platform.

    Just find this to be extremely interesting observation. In the end we are all a big family and share technologies, Audi Q7, Bentley Jeep, VW Toureg and Porsche Cayenne.

    Yuck, that is hideous.... IT will have to be a lot better looking than that for me to take an interest in getting one... Yikes....

    Mish I agree... maybe you also need a butler to drive you around in the rear seat to look like the perfect poseur. Well, let's put it this way, it's just a Toureg with the Bentley batch so you willing to pay 200K USD more to have a Toureg with a Bentley batch?

    Hehe....true....Though to be honest, I doubt the SUV will be that hideous looking. I'm sure they will come out with something more classy. That's just a bad Photoshop...


    Question is; how much are people willing to pay for a super-luxury SUV? $150k tops?

    I think more than that... As you may know a nicely specced CT comes out more than that (atleast in Europe) hence I believe people would pay along the same lime as the Bentley GT

    Ettore Bugatti described Bentleys as "fast trucks" when he raced his cars against them in Le Mans around 1928.

    Looks like that description could be applied again in the future.

    It's a little ironic that both marques are now owned by VW.

    Well, if they stick the Bugatti Veyron's quad-turbocharged W16 into it, I would take a look at it. I might like it.

    Yes, those are the wheels of the Veyron. Both images are very well pchopped, just like the Panamera I've done a while back. Although these images are interpretations of artists view on the possible Bentley SUV, I have read somewhere a couple months ago that Bentley is indeed contemplating on constructing a luxury SUV in the near future. I don't know exactly how true this is, but to me it makes sense. I think it's all about marketing.
