Just spoke to a german dealer:
- F430 is sold out. They don't accept orders any more.
Is this your dealer only or all dealers?
Sounds logical, with a 18 to 24 months wait list, as the successor is expected for late 2008 - early 2009.

For a few months US dealers weren't getting any F430 coupes, the Challenge Car took production. Now they are still few & far between. My dealer showed his allocation email to me Monday. He had only 1 coupe (mine) 3 Spiders, 1 599, that's it. Amazing they live on such numbers. Without a healthy pre-owned business there's no way.

Is that allocation for the rest of the year? Which dealer is it.

I'd agree with that.
Has anyone heard anything further regarding the air-bag issue ? I wonder if they'll even be a MY 2007.

Lets put it this way. Be happy you are taking delivery before September 1, 2006. This issue may get sticky.
Quick story. The other day I was entering a Freeway in my 430 Spider and had to accelerate to merge and obviously the exhaust was singing.
As I merged coming up next to me was a AM DB9. He was looking over at me but I thought nothing of it. I then exited and went into a shopping center parking lot and the AM followed. When I parked, he pulled next me and began asking how long I had to wait to get the car. I told him and he explained to me that he has been trying to get a 430 but was having difficulty finding one at a moderate price over MSRP. Also he would love to get a Spider but the situation was even worse.
He asked for my advice as to getting into a 430. I shared what I could. I found it interesting a AM guy wanting a 430. What ever people may think of Ferrari it has universal appeal.

Unless Ferrari gets a waiver from DOT, as of September 1st, 2006 no new 430's will be allowed to enter the US.
In the past Ferrari as well as other car manufacturers have received a waiver. The hearing is scheduled in July.

If my 430 follows the same schedule as my CS guess the car will be on the water in late July. (it took a few extra weeks because of the Hurricane's in August 2004) which means it might be really, really tight against that deadline. Essshhh. Hope it wont be a problem.
The hearing is in July ? "Do a good job, do a good job, do a good job" (said like Steve Buscemi "Rockhound" in Armageddon)

You could fly it in for $7000.It arrives with a week of completion date. You don't have to decide method of shipping until it reaches around stage 80.

The dealer in my hometown is still taking orders - only 5-6 months of waiting here.
