The low trap speed just doesn't match the ET. A stock 996 Turbo can trap within a couple mph of the 997 TT's number with a 11.9-12.2 ET.
BTW, in the April issue of MT where they tested the 997 S against the C6Z Vette, they said in the article..."The cars are also in a virtual dead-heat in our figure-eight test, with the Corvette running a tenth of a second quicker." In their data table listing all the performance numbers, the 997 S is listed at 25.8 sec in the figure-eight, and the Vette is listed at 24.9 sec....obviously not a difference of just one tenth.
They do make mistakes.
