Futch:
Was testing for WEC at Nurburg earlier this week and saw one of the factory driver's car. It was a dark rainy day and I must admit the orange looked quite disappointing. Anyone expecting a colour close to Blut Orange like I was will be shocked. It looked better on Tuesday which was a brighter day but still not great. I immediately asked my dealer if I could change to a Motorsport white but my car will be delivered next month so it's too late. Thought I'd inform anyone still hesitating.
On a side note the small circuit is great. And I drove on the big circuit for the first time with my RS4.0, it was wet and I had cup tyres on. Faaaaaaaack!!!!!! It was epic, truly scary but absolutely insane. I will definitely come back. What a track, shit!
I have observed the same. Both LO and UV lack shining in the real world. Outside they are far from what you see on pictures. Last week I have visited Zuffenhausen to make the last configuration decisions and to finally decide which color to take. First I was thinking about GT silver or LO. After seeing all the LO cars for me it was clear to switch to UV or GT silver. Inside, in preparation for delivery, there was one UV, beautiful car. Outside then two GT and two UV and a lot of LO. All cars where not clean and for me the GT silver was by far the best looking color. But nevertheless the car is in real life so awesome either in LO, UV, white or GT silver. We are talking about nuances at a ver high level.
Everyone will be happy when he finds the first twisty road. As one suspension engineer from Porsche told me, you want believe where the limit of this car is. We have to forget all what we have seen when driving a GT3. The RS is so far from the GT3 that it is unbelievable.
