Thanks RC for that offer
Maybe the customer have the cars in his own garage but is not allowed to drive them
I don't get the embargo at all. Some 991 Turbo S arrived at dealers in Germany and other countries over a week ago, incl. customer cars. Personally, I wouldn't mind if someone is driving a 991 Turbo S a week or two earlier than me but according to a source, there seem to be people who take it very very serious if they get a car first or not. So maybe it is because of them that Porsche wants to keep a certain introduction date, when all first customers get their cars simultaneously. To be honest, I would be happy for everyone who gets the car earlier because I know how I feel...very very nervous and it doesn't really feel good. My son also already nags me all day long when the car is coming, he thinks more about this car than about school right now.
My wife says I should be happy that Porsche was generous enough to provide such an early car (it wasn't easy, my dealer is small and didn't have a production slot for a Turbo S that early) and I am very grateful but like every true Porsche 911 Turbo lover, I am very eager to drive this car again, especially since now it is mine (well...sort of... ).
I am serious about the McLaren offer, just PM me before you go there (if you go there) and I give you details.
